Hospital Skylight Upgrade with LandVac Titanium Vacuum Glass

Natural daylight can make healthcare spaces feel brighter, more open, and more comfortable. But for large hospital skylights, bringing in more daylight also means managing heat gain, heat loss, and overhead glazing safety.

This project demonstrates an outpatient lobby skylight upgrade using LandVac Titanium Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG).

By combining high visible light transmission with advanced vacuum insulation, LandVac VIG helps healthcare buildings make better use of natural daylight while improving the thermal performance of large skylight areas.

Key advantages demonstrated in this project:

Maximising Natural Daylight

High visible light transmission brings abundant daylight into large hospital atriums and outpatient areas.

Superior Thermal Insulation

Vacuum insulation helps reduce solar heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter, supporting a more stable indoor environment.

Lower Lighting & Cooling Demand

By making greater use of natural daylight while controlling heat transfer through the skylight, the glazing solution can help reduce energy consumption for lighting and air conditioning.

Safety for Overhead Glazing

The tempered and laminated VIG structure provides enhanced protection for overhead applications, helping keep glass fragments in place in the event of breakage.

Designed for Healthcare Architecture

Thin, high-performance vacuum glazing provides architects with greater flexibility when designing bright, energy-efficient hospital skylights.

LandVac Titanium Vacuum Glass offers a way to bring together daylighting, thermal insulation, energy efficiency, and overhead glazing safety in demanding healthcare environments.
